This question will resolve based on the SSBMrank for the year, or an equivalent ranking system if it gets renamed or superseded.
The player must be credited as a DK player in the actual published ranking list. It doesn't matter if DK is listed as a main or as a secondary etc., as long as DK is listed as one of the characters attributed to the player by the rankings in some form.
