Ohtani does not need to lead both leagues in a stat to resolve YES, just the league he plays in (the National League if he stays with the Dodgers).

Ohtani must qualify to lead the league in rate statistics by averaging at least 3.1 plate appearances per team game for those stats to be eligible to resolve YES. Non-qualifying hitters will not be counted for rate statistics - Ohtani only has to lead amongst qualifying hitters.
