Resolution criteria

This market resolves YES if Nathan Lyon scores 100 or more runs in the first Test of the 2025-26 Ashes series between Australia and England at Perth Stadium, beginning November 21, 2025. Resolution will be determined by the official match scorecard from ESPNcricinfo or Cricket Australia. The market resolves NO if Lyon scores fewer than 100 runs in the match.

Background

Lyon is an off-spin bowler and a lower-order right-handed batsman. Nathan Lyon's batting average at No.11 is 15.09, with only New Zealand's Trent Boult having a higher batting average when walking out as the team's final batter (15.36). In a five-Test series in 2014, Lyon made 60 runs during his six innings, with a strike rate of 52.63. Scoring 100+ runs in a single Test would be a significant achievement for a lower-order batsman.

Considerations

Lyon is batting at position 9 in Australia's lineup, meaning he will only bat if Australia's top order collapses significantly or the match extends to multiple innings. The Perth Test is a day-night match, which may affect playing conditions and match duration.
