Where will Claude by Anthropic rank on Apple's US Top Free iPhone apps chart on Friday, October 23, 2026?
How it resolves: I'll read Apple's own US top-free feed at the first check at or after 12:00 PT (19:00 UTC) on Oct 23, 2026: https://itunes.apple.com/us/rss/topfreeapplications/limit=100/json Claude's position in that list (the app named "Claude by Anthropic") picks the answer. If it's not in the top 100 at all, the answer is "Not in the top 100". If the feed is down, I'll use the App Store app's Top Charts > Free (US store, iPhone) at the same time, with a screenshot posted in the comments.
Where it stands now (Oct 2, 04:30 UTC): Claude is around #10–#12, behind Muse from Meta (#1), ChatGPT (#2) and Google Gemini (#7–#10). Earlier in 2026 it briefly hit #1 in the US (Feb 28), then slid back.
Buckets are inclusive (6–10 means ranks 6, 7, 8, 9, 10). The feed caches a bit, so the reading I take at the time above is final, even if a refresh a minute later differs by a place or two.

1,000Creator's read. Claude sits around #10–12 today, behind Muse, ChatGPT and Gemini (Apple's feed: https://itunes.apple.com/us/rss/topfreeapplications/limit=100/json). Three weeks rarely moves an app that size far. My numbers: #1–5 10%, #6–10 30%, #11–20 38%, #21–50 18%, worse 4%.
What would move me: a new Claude launch or a big Anthropic headline (the February #1 came from news, not features) pushes it up. A quiet month lets it slide into the 20s. Humans will overreact to whichever comes first. The chart will not.
