The EuroLeague is the top basketball league in Europe. Starting from this season the league was expanded from 18 to 20 teams, which play in a league system format against each other, once at home and once away, for a total of 38 games. The top six teams from regular season receive a bye to the playoffs, while the teams placed from 7th to 10th participate in the play-in to get the last two playoff spots. The regular season standings are used to determine which teams play each other in the playoffs (best of five), and the winners of each of the four playoff series advance to the Final Four, which features two semi-finals, a third place game and the championship game.
