@a2bb how do you know when the expansion isn't even out yet. And the SE dev is working with factorio devs on this update anyway.
I guess at this point, would “Early Access” or a public beta count?
@AaronBreckenridge If the purpose of a beta is to test before release, then I don’t think it should count. By the blog post, it’s already had a private “release” and is getting tested in office LAN parties.
@capybara released means normal full release. this is about whether the planned release date to the public is hit
@Ernie does steam "early access" count? it took years for them to release the base game as not-early-access on steam...
@nyanotech if the average random person can buy it, I'd consider it released. that is, "released" is a logical status; the bucket/terminology that steam puts it in is not related;
This means, that we have something we are happy with, is pretty stable, and we don't expect any further brutal changes to come. We have a relatively stable list of tasks to be finished both for programmers and artists, which makes us confident that we can release a polished product in about a year.
