The new release "Hold The Ferry" has three versions: Traditional, Modern, and Definitive.

1,000Definitive is best by far.
Voice much stronger and more natural than trad and modern. Instruments are great.
I love the emotion in the voice (also present in Traditional) at ~3:10.
Main critique of all three is the occasional artificiality of the voice which breaks the suspension of disbelief e.g. at 3:24 on Definitive.
Of course the artificial / natural dichotomy is already feeling a bit strained with the models being in someways superhuman. But I'm sure you understand what I mean.
@jim The definitive version is performing extraordinarily well - with an 8:1 like ratio. I'm astonished at that - I didn't think this song was that good, particularly compared to "The Scheme." It's light years beyond how any song has been received even this early.
If the like ratio holds up, I will put a lot more time into it to correct some of the minor issues and make an edit as the one targeted for radio airplay, with some touches to make it more retro-futuristic instead of just a blast from the past so it is more friendly to get a station to play it.
Now, based on what you said - is your rating entirely based upon the vocals, with the instrumentation mattering less or not at all?
