"Porchlight Pact" might be the most creative work yet that I've heard from a music model. This work involved three different models working together with me - GPT-5 Pro, Gemini 2.5 Pro, and Suno v5 (along with its stem extractor.) This song did not use Udio this time around.
One issue with Suno, which Udio does not have, is that it has become so good at instruction following that it can lack creative outputs at times. The solution to that is simply to be extremely specific. The final prompt, after many iterations, is below.
The workflow involved asking Gemini 2.5 Pro to listen to the song, to review it and describe it to GPT-5 Pro, and then to have GPT-5 Pro translate that into an improved prompt. I also edited the prompts - mostly the technical instructions like keys, while the models came up with the genre fusion and instrumentation.
"Modern Halloween orchestral-trap anthem with haunted club energy, 122 BPM (halftime drops), Rotating centers: Verses = F Phrygian (1-♭2-♭3-4-5-♭6-♭7) with ♭II brass stabs and pedal drones; Pre-drop = octatonic (H-W) runs and tritone pedal (B/E♭); Chorus = B♭ minor with ♭VI→♭II hits over B♭ pedal; Bridge = D double-harmonic minor bursts for “spell” color, Orchestration: colossal brass, razor string ostinatos, toy-piano glints, low male chant + children’s whisper choir, Sound design: sidechained engine-bloom sub, bone-chime foley hats, door-knock samples (four-hits motif), wind howls, distant bell, Groove: glitch accents (5/4 over 4/4), trap hats, war-drums, Arrangement: swagger stops, call-and-response brass with vocal, drop-to-silence turnarounds, Mix/master: cavernous hall IRs, mono-solid sub, transient-safe lows, long tails, loud but clean; 2030s, dark yet danceable"
