Market resolves based on my own opinion of who won, unless there is an official audience vote or judges that make a descision.

Please do NOT bet if you will be upset if I decide contra to what you think.

I will NOT be in this market, and intend to resolve this based on my honest opinion.

I will resolve this market after the debate ends. Resolves N/A if the debate does not occur.

Hardly a debate, felt more like a conversation. Per my earlier statement on this resolving the market to 50%

predicted NO

Based on the title, I'm guessing that no clear winner = No, since Destiny will not have beaten Eliezer. That means there's no N/A resolution criteria, in my interpretation of the market, since the event happened.

Do we know what time this is happening?

@Gen 5pm PST on Saturday.

Do you lean towards preferring truthseeking, or rhetoric?

@IsaacKing Just because I agree with a position doesn't mean that wins. This is a debate so rhetorical skill will matter, but quality of arguments is a huge factor.

if you're deciding, you should disclose your biases.

@taco Tough to do since we don't know the topic yet. Going into this my prior is that Eliezer has the edge for AI, and Destiny is favored on other topics.

@SneakySly cool. is it possible for them to tie? i feel like Destiny has been aiming for conversations more than debates these days, they may end up not even disagreeing much

@taco I guess if they just have a chill conversation and don't disagree on anything I could either N/A or resolve at 50%.

@SneakySly I would say that there's a greater than 52% chance (currently what this market is running at), of them having a more laid-back conversation and not a full-on debate.

What's the debate about?

@AlexbGoode No idea, but maybe something AI related?

How would you define winning? In other words, what you’ll be looking at to determine who has won?

@roma I think for a market like this a more vague and vibes based approach is better.

Insofar as I will be actively thinking about who is doing better, I would like to think that I will be looking at some combination of being more convincing / rhetorical effectiveness / skill at addressing arguments.
