The Apple Watch Series 8 shares the same microarchitecture as the Apple Watch Series 6, as such, I suspect it may receive fewer major OS upgrades that it's predec that used the same architecture, yet released two years earlier.
Market will resolve yes if either I am able to update my Apple Watch Series 8 to watchOS 14, or if I am no longer in possession of such hardware at the time, if watchOS 14 is generally available to uses of the Apple Watch Series 8.
If the version numbering is changed, or years/major releases are skipped, then if the Series 8 can update to the latest major version of watchOS publicly available to any Apple Watch at the end of 2027, answer will resolve yes.
Will be resolved if beta versions of watchOS 14 are announced, confirming or precluding support for Apple Watch Series 8.
