Requirement: Glasses must integrate AI voice assistance to be considered an AI wearable. Meta Ray Bans w ith Meta AI, though early stage, qualify.
Currently, there are a number of AI wearable products in development with varying form factors — a standout is Meta's Ray Ban Smart Glasses, which currently integrate AI features including a multimodal voice activated assistant, powered by Meta AI (CNet). Other companies are also developing AI glasses, with Frame by Brilliant Labs releasing in April (The Verge).
Google Glass, launched over 10 years ago, was met with widespread public distaste over privacy concerns and an expensive price tag. However, given the AI wearables market is now gaining traction (Humane AiPin, Rewind Pendant, Rabbit R1, etc), smart glasses may find product-market fit.
