YES

Thanks to SirSalty for part of this description:

Having ~5% of random pixels infringing on the flag is fine. But it can't be a community or picture that has managed to stand strong and take up some of the flag's space.

I will be the final judge and not trade on this market to remain unbiased.

If they expand the size, then it will have to cover the entire width of whatever the final size is when the final snapshot is taken.

There is a german flag, but it is obstructed in some places. I am planning to resolve NO, but I want to hear any counterarguments before I do.

Edit: In the snapshot I was looking at, an image obscured the German flag, but it turns out that wasn't the final one, in the final one the German flag spans the canvas. Resolving YES tomorrow unless any objections are made

@ShadowyZephyr Vis-a-vis the letter of the market: The flag clearly spanned the entirety of the canvas width, and I'm fairly sure that the 'obstructions' you mention were deliberately placed / permitted by the German r/place people. They were not random pixels infringing on the flag, which was called out in the description. I also wouldn't consider them 'a community or picture that has managed to stand strong and take up some of the flag's space' since the phrasing in the market description implied that was a specifically antagonistic relationship, which, to my understanding, the artworks were not.

My interpretation of the market/the spirit of the market was "Will the German r/place community manage to take and hold the full canvas-width for their flag?", which they very clearly did. Many flags had additional artwork on them, since a flat plane of color is both boring and not really good at representing a country or a culture, and given that fact, I really think clarification would have been in order if you intended the question to be more specifically "Will there be a black strip of pixels across the width of the canvas, atop similarly-sized red and yellow strips?"

@OracularJay It seems that you're right. Upon taking a closer look, there was a short period of time where the flag was obstructed by a different community, but in the final snapshot it wasn't. Then , I think I'll resolve YES.

@OracularJay Resolving YES tomorrow unless any objections are made.
Honestly I think I made a mistake choosing such vague resolution criteria. I wanted this to resemble SirSalty's market.

@ShadowyZephyr While I agree that @OracularJay‘s interpretation best explains the spirit of this market, I interpreted the ambiguous criteria more literally and did not realize the art on top of the German flag qualified as part of it, for the purpose of this market. :( I respect whichever way you choose to resolve this.

@TamarSpoerri This is partially on me for copying someone else's resolution criteria. I wanted to create consistency in the criteria of the markets, but I ended up just making it more ambiguous.

However, in the final snapshot, the flag was never cut off entirely, even in the artworks (approved by the German community), you can still see the flag in the background. Therefore, I will resolve YES. I'll also pay you back the 10 mana you bet since you brought this to my attention.

@ShadowyZephyr Aww, you didn’t have to do that. Thanks, though!
