@SG Actually, this reminds me of a carving from a church in Amsterdam. I think this could work well as a jack o' lantern.

@GriffinWolf Could be the tonsure of a monk perhaps? Or a halo? Or pattern the edges like a crown?

@GriffinWolf I guess you could make the stem the nose. Might depend on the particular aspherical quirks of the pumpkin I buy.

@GriffinWolf Haha, that's a good point. Why don't people carve ears? Seems easy to try and will probs add to the weirdness factor of my lantern.

@LivInTheLookingGlass I probably will sketch out the design before cutting it but, like the "use a knife" suggestion, I was going to do this anyway so I don't consider this creative. I won't resolve to this option.

@LivInTheLookingGlass Haha, sounds messy! But I guess this could work...

@SG the dreamer should have a nightmare mode for 31-Oct

@stone this is neither fun nor creative so won't be picked

@RobinFoster it's definitely fun, as that's the way most people do it. Carving pumpkins is just fun, whether or not you're using a knife. And it could also be creative, depending on the end result. I believe that both the most creative and most fun pumpkin carvings, have been done using a knife.

@stone That's nice. I wont resolve to this option.
