Resolution criteria

The market resolves based on which candidate the Raiders officially hire as head coach, as announced by the team. Resolution will be determined by the official announcement from the Las Vegas Raiders organization. The official announcement will be posted on the Raiders' official website (https://www.raiders.com) and confirmed through major sports news outlets.

Background

The Raiders fired Pete Carroll on the first day of the 2026 season after a 3-14 record. General manager John Spytek and minority owner Tom Brady are leading the search. The Raiders have completed second interviews with Chargers defensive coordinator Jesse Minter and Panthers defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero on January 20. Las Vegas has interviewed 14 candidates, with Kevin Stefanski and Jeff Hafley having already chosen other jobs. The Raiders have the No. 1 pick in the draft (Fernando Mendoza) and over $100 million in projected salary cap room.

Considerations

This will be the Raiders' sixth head coach since 2021. The Raiders have not had a coach spend even five years in the position since Art Shell's first tenure (1989-1994). The expectation is that the Raiders are looking to hire an offensive-minded coach, with the Sean McVay coaching tree getting significant attention.
