Will my right knee heal without surgery?

On April 27, 2022, I attempted a double-leg takedown in wrestling that slammed my right knee onto the mat with a force that resulted in the kind of euphoria (a 'floaty' feeling) and jittery extremities that typically accompanies traumatic injury. Palpation after the sparring session showed that the site (medial, between the tibia and the femoral joint) was weirdly jelly-like. Seemed fine after that, besides some diffuse pain. On the 9th of May, there was a sharp pain at the site during a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu session. There is full range of motion and the leg bears weight, but McMurray's and Apley's were not attempted, for fear that if there is a minor tear, they might exacerbate it. Anterior and Posterior Drawers seems negative. There is some tightness along the medial collateral ligament when swimming breaststroke. There continues to be sharp pain upon palpation at the tip of the tibia where it connects to the femoral on the medial side (left of the patella as I am looking at it), and noticeable edema between the tibial and femoral there.

Back to full ROM, and the swelling is gone. There is an occasional pain but it seems to only happen when I land in a particular way when thrown by a person, or when twisting to throw someone at an awkward angle.

Have you seen a physical therapist and/or are you doing physical therapy to heal?
@ian I have not seen a physical therapist, but I do squat frequently to do other things as I go about my day, and move my legs around as I hang from a pull up bar at least once every four of my waking hours.
@RayDoraisamy I'd guess you'd need PT if you're over ~20 something. That sort of lingering pain is not going to go away without tending to the damage.
@RayDoraisamy I do NOT think you need surgery tho, but PT does take a while
