Will my new puppy learn how to "drop it" within the first 2 weeks of being home?

Learning "drop it" means that he drops whatever is in his mouth when we command him to. He must drop whatever he's holding onto very purposefully upon hearing the command. He should be able to drop it 80% of the time we ask him to.

Yoshi drops things when I firmly say "No" but not when I say "Drop it"
I believe in Yoshi!

Just "in the lab," or including when he really wants to keep whatever you're telling him to drop?
@MichaelWheatley Even when he really wants to keep it!
