I bought a DOOGEE V Max 2 Pro as my next phone. It's a tank of a phone with a truly absurd battery, and it's still in the mail at time of writing this market.
I will attempt to play Honkai: Star Rail on it for about a half hour at the graphic settings listed below. Market resolves YES if the phone fails to launch the game, shuts down from heat, freezes up, or otherwise becomes functionally unable to continue in that play session.
Otherwise, resolves NO.
1,000does it count as a fail if the phone can only give a low amount of frames per second (say, 5) or has many, many stutters?

@Eternal It will be my personal judgement if the frame rate is passable, but if it is so bad where I say that no reasonable person would be able to play in these conditions, it's a fail. I'll try to be generous in my interpretation, but I can safely say 5 FPS is a fail.

@Eternal The impetus of this market is I bought this other phone years ago with the same clever idea of being able to game forever on a giga-battery, but that phone consistently crashed and restarted from either graphical strain or from overheating while playing this game.
@Quroe yeah- I found another phone (the POCO X6 Pro 5G) and found a video of someone playing Honkai Starrail on YouTube with everything set to "high" or "very high", and it could sustain 60 fps (at least for the first 2 minutes. I stopped watching after that) so I'm confident that phone wouldn't crash or thermal throttle. The Doogee is rugged though, and it traps heat inside the case.
Pulling some numbers from an app (that I forgot the name of) that had benchmarks for the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 (which is the SoC the Doogee has), the performance only drops about 23% peak when the chip is thermal throttling.
0.77 * 60 = ~46 so assuming the phone thermal throttles, you'd experience at least 46 frames.
If the SoC gets hotter than 100 celcius, it'll shut itself off to save itself.
I'm confident that the SoC won't get hotter than 100 celcius within the 30 minute window you set yourself since the chip will throttle itself
I would bet this market down to 5% or lower, but I don't want to stake 700 mana for a potential 70 mana profit. Even though I'm confident I would win the bet, on the off-chance that I lose, losing 700 mana feels bad even though it was a positive EV decision
@Eternal Your credit is good with me if you need a loan should your potential 5% position fail. However, just to ensure there are no perverse incentives, I probably shouldn't offer to service that loan until after this market resolves.
