Resolution criteria
This market resolves to YES if the vessel Panormitis docks at an Israeli port and proceeds to unload its grain cargo. It resolves to NO if the vessel departs the Israeli coast without docking or if it docks but does not unload its cargo.
Verification will be based on reliable maritime tracking services (such as MarineTraffic or VesselFinder) indicating that the vessel has berthed at the port of Haifa, supported by reports from reputable news outlets confirming the unloading of the cargo.
Background
As of late April 2026, the Panama-flagged bulk carrier Panormitis is idling near the port of Haifa. The Ukrainian government has alleged that the ship is carrying over 25,000 tons of grain—specifically wheat and barley—that was sourced from Russian-occupied Ukrainian territories.
Kyiv has formally protested the vessel's presence and warned of diplomatic repercussions if the cargo is accepted. Israeli officials have stated that they are examining the matter in accordance with the law, noting that previous allegations regarding similar shipments have lacked provided evidence.
