Resolution criteria

This market will resolve to YES if FIFA officially announces that its member associations have voted to approve the creation of the "FIFA Forward Enterprise" (FFE) and the associated plan to sell a minority stake to private investors.

Specifically, resolution requires a majority of FIFA's 211 member associations vote in favor of the proposal on or before the September 19, 2026 deadline (or any officially extended voting deadline).

This market will resolve to NO if:

  • The member associations vote to reject the proposal.

  • The September 19, 2026 deadline (or its official extension) passes without a majority of member associations approving the plan.

  • The plan is officially withdrawn by FIFA or Gianni Infantino before being approved.

The primary source of truth will be official press releases from the FIFA Official Website or consensus reporting from major news sources.

Ratification by the FIFA Council does not affect the resolution.

It seems like UEFA members will oppose (55 total members), but given the financial incentives getting 106 out of the remaining 156 should be feasible. I think it could go either way, with YES being more likely. I haven't looked too much into this, so correct me if I got it wrong.
