I was expecting soda to have the most votes, but I didn't think it would be this overwhelming. 

As a Midwesterner, I call them "pop" when speaking to other people from the Midwest. But when I talk to someone from anywhere else, I usually switch to "soda" because it's more universally understood.

Which of these terms do you most often use to refer to sweet carbonated drinks?

"Coke" refers to using the word as a generalized trademark, not just for Coca-Cola products. 

Some descriptive name, like "carbonated beverages" or "non-alcoholic beverages"
