For an explanation of what Reality Shifting is or how it is supposed to work, read the details of this other market: "Will Reality Shifting be proven as a real phenomenon before 2070?"

Reality Shifting has not been proven by science. This is a very subjective market.

Resolution Criteria:

  • Resolves to the year interval when I consider myself "I have fully shifted". For example, if in my view I have fully shifted in 2026, it will resolve to 2026-2027.

  • Resolves to 2070-2071 if I give up trying to shift.

  • Resolves to 2070-2071 if the "Will Reality Shifting be proven as a real phenomenon before 2070?" market is resolved to NO.

  • Resolves to 2070-2071 by a moderator if I die or my account becomes inactive.

  • Resolves to 2070-2071 on January 1, 2070.

Personal Definition of "Fully Shifting":

I will only consider myself to have "fully shifted" if all points of this personal criteria are met. Otherwise, it won't qualify.

  • Through meditation, sleep, drugs, or any other altered state of consciousness, I change my awareness to another "reality" / place that is different from the one I was in. There, I must have all five senses and feel as real as this current reality.

  • If shifted under the influence of drugs, I must experience no drug effects (be sober) in the shifted reality.

  • I must pass the following dream checks in the shifted reality as they would in this current reality: pinch my nose, count the fingers on my hands, try to push the palm of my hand with a finger, read, punch a hard surface, smash my head against a hard surface.

  • I must engage in this activities in the shifted reality, and it should feel as real as doing them in the current reality (and without shifting back / "waking up" by doing them): eat something, urinate, have sex or masturbate, touch objects, dance, hear music.

  • I must stay at least one hour or more in that reality before shifting back.

  • Mirror realities (realities that are very similar to this current reality) only count if with 100% certainty I can identify at least one aspect of the past as being fully different (for example: a Berenstein / Berenstain bears Mandela effect doesn't count, the walls of my room being another color or the Eiffel tower in Paris replaced by a Baguette sculpture counts).

Insider Info That May Be Relevant:

  • Male, born in 2001, in Spain.

  • I study Computer Science.

  • I meditate regularly.

  • The Multiverse / Many Worlds Theory is something I have always believed to be true since I was a child. It is one of my core axiomatic beliefs.

  • I don't follow any particular religion but incorporate elements from various sources along with my opinions and whatever "feels right"; my worldview is composed of these elements and personal experiences.

  • I believe in the concept of God in the sense of "we are all one" / "the universe experiencing itself" / "we are all God" / "everything is one".

  • I first heard about the concept of "Reality Shifting" in 2015 when it was referred to as "Quantum Jumping" with a different definition. I found it while searching the internet for information related to the multiverse but did not believe it.

  • I heard about Reality Shifting again in June 2021 in the comments of a YouTube video about lucid dreaming. I didn't believe it then, but I was interested and intended to research further; however, I forgot.

  • I encountered Reality Shifting for the third time in February 2022 from a TikTok video. The video itself wasn't interesting to me, but it reminded me to look up information on "Reality Shifting". My main sources were the subreddit r/shiftingrealities FAQ and later experiences shared by shifters on that subreddit and on Amino. This time, I believed it as Reality Shifting felt like an obvious part of my core beliefs about existence, among many other things, for both logical and emotional reasons. That same day, I began attempting to shift.

  • I believe in the Multiverse Theory interpretation of Reality Shifting, but this market will resolve even if I shift and somehow discover another theory, like the Cognitive Theory, to be the correct one, as long as the above criteria are met for the shift.

  • I have consistently tried to shift almost every day since February 2022, putting considerable effort into it.

  • I have tried various focuses for shifting, maintain a shifting journal to record all attempts, and usually plan ahead before trying to shift, deciding on the method / technique I want to try.

  • Most of my attempts are sleep methods, sometimes wake-up methods while meditating. I haven't used drugs to try to shift and it is unlikely I will use them, at least in the short term.

  • In the past, I had periods of multiple lucid dreams, during which I tried to question my subconscious mind and also to shift. Nowadays, I rarely have lucid dreams but still remember a lot of dreams from every night, even after stopping regular updates to the dream journal.

  • I have very well-thought-out scripts for multiple realities I want to shift to. My main focus is to shift to my Waiting Room, a reality where I have god-like powers, to relax and have fun.

  • After more than 2 years of trying, I have had no results related to Reality Shifting.

  • I will update this with any new relevant info.

  • I don't give up easily.

OP Trading: Given the subjetive nature of this market’s resolution, I won't bet in this market.

@Peter1169 Lucid dream seems an easy option to trigger resolution. You will not actually shift realities, but all criteria will be satisfied, because they are all based on subjective experience.

According to your weird criteria I would say I had success several times. For example, had a huge study project, haven't been sleeping for 36 hours, then voila, lucid dream matching.

Will lucid dream count?

I suggest changing the name to "Will I believe I managed to reality shift?".

@KongoLandwalker In theory, lucid dreaming doesn't quite fit the bill. I've experienced numerous lucid dreams myself, yet they've never come close to the vividness of waking life. Even if a dream may feel like "reality" due to a subdued level of awareness, upon awakening, it's clear it wasn't a true memory or nearly as vivid as actual life. Should Reality Shifting prove to be genuine, it might resemble a form of dreaming, but it wouldn't fall into the categories of ordinary or lucid dreaming. Rather, it could be likened to an extraordinarily realistic blend, somewhat akin to a mix between dreaming and sleep paralysis, representing a yet undefined phenomenon.

Nonetheless, perception of vividness is highly subjective, and I will adopt the title you suggested, as it more accurately captures this nuance.

I remain skeptical that a lucid dream or anything akin to it could achieve such a level of vividness or satisfy all criteria, leaving me utterly convinced during and after the experience that it wasn't a dream. However, if Shifting is indeed real (and that's a big if), and it meets my personal benchmarks, then the market would resolve to the year interval in which it occurs.
