I went for a laser eye surgery consultation where they pressured me into scheduling the surgery for Sep 29 by offering a discount to $4500 (both eyes). However

• My FSA plan year starts Oct 01 so I don't think I could use it for the Sep 29 appointment.

• I will be on call at work in mid Oct and having one eye not working well (if I go with PRK) would make me worse at that.

• I kind of want to research more or visit a second optometrist before deciding whether to do Lasek or PRK.

• I might want to just wait until I have lots of vacation and do medical tourism. Or work remotely and do medical tourism within the USA, since NYC is likely even more expensive than other parts of the USA.

Since PRK is often performed 1 eye at a time, doing one eye suffices to trigger YES.
