In Minecraft, the best method of transportation is to fly using an elytra and firework rockets. Some think the elytra is overpowered and trivializes movement. Will it get nerfed?
This question is about major or minor updates to the Java edition of Minecraft. Changes released only in snapshots will not count.
Some examples which would count as nerfs, resolving YES:
Decreasing the speed when flying with an elytra
Increasing the cost to craft firework rockets
Removing mending, or disabling it for the elytra
Disabling the elytra in rain
Some examples which would not count as nerfs, resolving NO:
Making it harder to acquire an elytra
Preventing the player from flying through vines with an elytra
1,000@Mmmmm I wouldn't consider that as a nerf because it's such a small, specific interaction (so it won't matter 99% of the time). Mojang also changed how the elytra interacts with vines like last month and I don't want the question to resolve if they decide to revert that change.
