Venezuela is holding a referendum on December 3rd with a view to annexing a substantial portion of what is broadly recognized as being part of neighbouring Guyana.

Market will resolve once referendum results are announced.

In the result of the referendum not taking place (or the results not being announced, not just delayed) the market will resolve to 'no'.

Looks as if we aren't getting results beyond "Very big and entirely credible win, massive turnout, anyone who disagrees is bought by EXXON!!" so resolving to YES.

Hopefully this vote is purely for internal politics and doesn't lead to a real conflict...

I'll wait for an official announcement (ideally with counts) before resolving but in a surprise to noone it looks like the YES camaign were successful in all five questions...

@PaulBenjaminPhotographer worth mentioning one of the referendum questions was precisely on whether to accept the jurisdiction of the Court. Countries are, in principle, allowed to just reject jurisdiction, although there are factors in this particular case that might mean Venezuela is not allowed to do that.
