This market will resolve based on the overall Metascore rating from journalists, not any one particular console. The target score was based on past entries in the franchise, if applicable.
@Panfilo I would (obviously, given my shares) prefer that this situation count as No, but I think N/A is reasonable as well. Once you've decided, do you want to go ahead and either resolve No, or ping @ mods so they can resolve N/A?
@yetforever Yeah once I found the dev post saying there is no new release date after the latest delay, I figured I didn't want to yank people around. But also, since the spirit of the market was to judge the actual score and not the release date, an N/A would be truer than another extension or a No. Pinging mods on discord now.
@Panfilo Btw it occurred to me, if you make a market like this again, it might be worth wording the title as "2 weeks after release" instead of a specific date. That makes it obvious that it will be extended if the game is delayed (or N/A'ed if the game is canceled).
@MalachiteEagle Extending until more reviews come in, since Metacritic still has it as TBD. N/Aing is much less common on the site than it used to be, so I think this is closer to the spirit of the market.
@Panfilo I was betting No on this market because the game seems to be delayed, and it's hard to get a 85+ Metascore when you haven't haven't released your game. š I'd prefer we didn't extend the closing time, because that adds more days where the game could potentially be released. I was betting under the assumption that it resolves No unless the game releases and gets a 85+ Metascore before the original closing date, which I think was tomorrow.
@yetforever The dates were to safeguard against some sort of slight rating decay weeks later, or against the extreme volatility of ratings on release day (especially for games with limited or staggered review embargos). I stopped making this kind of market but would definitely respond to this problem if I made more, especially the way it can play out with live service games where reviews trickle out over a much longer period of time to create a similar problem.
@Panfilo Well, consider this my vote to resolve it tomorrow (at least I think that's what the closing date was beforehand). That would free up a bunch of liquidity that I have locked up in this market as well.
