Found the last level, haven't beat it yet, and also got arguably a small hint on accident so this is a No. I am very sad.

Yesterday, I returned from a break with the game. During that break, I played Animal Well and finished layer 2, so it wasn't a puzzle-free time, but it certainly wasn't anything like Baba's logic. Today, just now, I accessed the first of the final six levels. If I finish before Halloween, I might go as Baba.

I am now in the daunting yet simple situation of having one dandelion left, and having no idea where it is. There are a couple idiosyncracies in the game I can poke at, but it'll mostly be an Easter Egg hunt given that I have unlocked all of the achievements and have "completed" all the "areas."

@traders I'm soliciting a meta-hint regarding game versions. I am playing on PC and started my save a long time ago. Can I confirm that 231 is the number of Dandelions available on an updated Steam version of the main game?

I am now at 220, with a clear path to 225. Finding the other 6 Dandelions will probably take some long-term prodding, but I have almost half a year for that!

Okay, I have reached this point. Luckily there are some breadcrumbs about where to look, but I'm not in a hurry.

I'll probably take another break soon, but it's bittersweet to have had these breakthroughs so quickly. I was hoping this would come down to the wire and turn into a 100k steps situation.

I have unlocked a new frontier and now have a (...relatively) clear path to ~220. Easier said than done though!

Got a meta clarification about whether the 231 number is from Dandelions, and the answer seems to be yes. So, technically I am not responsible for Orbs, although I already have one.

Spoilers! I have accessed the Depths and confirmed that the late game is structured how I thought it was. As long as they don't make me build DOOM, I think I can continue making progress. It took a fair bit of searching levels with LEVEL blocks, as well as double checking whether any ABC style levels could spell LEVEL. I still have at least 10ish pre-Depths levels to complete, but I'm not too worried about those.

I have progressed past 03 in some way!! It unlocked 4 more levels in the area, so I have some horizontal breathing room now.

If you change your mind on using guides or hints, would this still settle as yes?

@ShakedKoplewitz If I use guides or hints, this will resolve as No. If there is an edge case where guides or hints are part of the intended mechanics (like the brute force puzzle in Fez) then that would be okay, though. I may solicit meta-hints such as "are all the game's puzzles solvable through non-brute-force methods apparent in the game's logic" for this purpose.

Baba has a pretty severe 80/20 rule (20 percent of the total effort gets you 80% of the levels). Good luck, but I don't think it's doable.

@ShakedKoplewitz Based on Steam achievements I'm hopeful.

@Panfilo I actually wonder how many of those steam achievements looked up the solutions. I'm at 190 levels solved without looking up anything but I'm definitely stuck 😅
