Do they need to be sung within the film? I.e. the linked Variety article is about how many songs are included as a "jukebox musical". What about songs that are included as needledrops? and/or played over the credits?

@Ziddletwix Any "reinterpretation" counts since that's the word the article uses with the fifteen track minimum. So if it's sung without music or played but not sung, but it's a new cover, that still counts. But just playing a past version on the soundtrack is not enough.
