Nootropics Depot used to be the vendor of choice as the best (safest, most effective product, reliable, domestic, reasonable pricing, etc.) source of piracetam for a large number of nootropics users around the globe. The specific circumstances surrounding their decision to discontinue a highly successful and well-reviewed product are not entirely know to the public, but it seems quite likely that negative attention from overzealous regulators at the FDA in 2019 (who were in turn motivated by meddling academics with too much time on their hands writing papers spreading fear, uncertainty and doubt about the "smart drug" piracetam and its purveyors in 2018) caused them to sell the last of their uniquely effective product in 2020/2021 and summarily discontinue the product without any explicit explanation as to why this occurred.
While piracetam is currently being sold by at least one US vendor on a rather limited and unreliable basis, the other sellers of piracetam leave much to be desired in terms of price, quality, and availability, among other factors. Should ND return their piracetam to market, it would likely be only a very short time until they turned significant profits, even with a price increase and a blank space in their sales record. Thus they have the financial motivation to do so and no explicit regulatory barriers to them doing so, but the founder has been irritatingly coy about going over the details of why they simply cannot rebrand their product to satisfy regulatory concerns and sell it as other US based vendors do.
On the one hand, it seems unlikely that piracetam will ever be sold again by ND given the current status quo, but a shift in regulatory attention or the widespread use of similar products by other companies might motivate ND to bring it back to market.
This market will resolve to "yes" if I am able to successfully purchase and have delivered to me ND-brand standalone piracetam powder (any quantity), explicitly labeled as "piracetam".
This market will resolve to "no" only if piracetam becomes formally illegal in the US or if ND ceases to exist as a company.
