SPOILERS ABOUND:
We are down to the final three contestants for Netflixās āSquid Game Challengeā , which is a reality game show adaptation of 2021ās āSquid Game.ā I know, I knowācringe, corporate and co-opting the message of the original seriesābut holy smokes, folks, it had me on the edge of my seat for 90% of the episodes so far. Thrilling, truly.
Weāre down to just three contestants (listed above). Based on the post-production editing meta, I have a very strong feeling about who this will resolve to, but itās really anyoneās game. I highly recommend you watch the series yourself or at least a brief recap before the series finale airs Wednesday, December 6, at 12AM PST.
I know I definitely wanted Bee (#018) to win, but the three we got arenāt, uh, the worst, comparatively speaking⦠there have been some true psychos / Dark Triads in this competition that were fortunately eliminated before the finale. šŖ¦
While it seems like there should be only one winner, in the event of a Black Swan, I will resolve to either the āN/Aā option (no winners) or the multiple winners (in the highly unlikely case there is more than one). This is the first time Netflix is doing a show like this, and I wouldnāt put it past them to do something weird for the finale⦠but donāt think itās too likely! Any āmultiple winnerā bets more than 1% are very likely to be bad ones.
Remember! Any comments below will contain heavy spoilers up to the end of episode 9, so be wary if you havenāt watched it yet! Let the betting beginā¦

Note: for those wondering āwhy this took longer than expected to close,ā I was planning to watch it immediately upon release and resolve within an hour of closing, but Netflix fucked up their PR again and randomly decided to release the finale at a significantly different time from the rest of the episodes, preventing me from resolving it until I had the chance to watch the episode myself.
I think Netflix is more consistently entertaining than Manifold, so forgive me if you think it was wrong for me to not spoil the results for myself by doing a quick Google search for the winner immediately upon streaming release. Idgaf about a less than 24 hour delay from conceivable resolution; I do occasionally venture offline.
(I do not feel bad about the multiple choice option here because I was 100% transparent about that fact and why I did it from the very beginning, as described in the description. If you didnāt like that premise⦠you shouldnāt have bet on the market? Lmao.)
Thanks to the good sports who took their wins/losses without complaint š
Goddammit, Netflix!!! Psyching me out with that meta there.
The whole way they decided to portray Mai over the course of the season was sooooooo uneven IMO. Iām actually kind of glad I wasnāt able to predict it at all because thatās what made it so entertaining!!!
No, if only I could walk out of here with $4.56 million dollars after getting to rank one of masterās⦠that would be worth fighting forā¦
(Gotta admit I was intrigued by the casting call for season 2, but after hearing about the conditions the contestants had to endure this last go-round, Iām not sure Iād make it š¬ )
After reading @Emanuele676 ās comment below and double checking news re the episode today, I decided to adjust the close date to the minute before the episode airs (11:59 PM pst) to prevent cheating.
@Emanuele98 Hmm itās difficult to be sure. Theyāve played around with the live streaming format before, but thereās no news either way at the moment if thatās what theyāre going to do for this or not. Perhaps I will readjust the closing time back up to a half hour earlier.
