The NSW EPA has begun its prosecutions against three companies and one individual over their alleged involvement in 26 sites across the state containing asbestos.

A NSW EPA investigation, launched after mulch containing asbestos was discovered in Rozelle Parklands, confirmed a total of 79 sites were contaminated with the high-risk material.

The first directions hearing is scheduled for February 7, 2025.
