Background
FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) is a high school robotics competition where teams design, build, and program robots to compete in alliance-based games. Team 1690, known as Orbit, is a competitive team from Israel with a strong track record in FRC competitions.
Thus far in this year's season, Orbit has performed incredibly well, having both won their first competition (ISR #1) and, along with their alliance partners (team captain Team Sycamore [5614] and second pick MetalBoost [5928]) set a shocking high score in the semifinals.
In the 2024 season, Orbit ranked first in the FIRST Israel District and qualified for the FIRST Championship, where they ultimately pulled off the win.
The Einstein Field is the final playing field at the FIRST Championship where division winners compete in playoff matches to determine the overall champion. Making it to the semifinals of Einstein would mean Orbit would need to:
Win their division at the Championship
Advance through at least one round in the Einstein playoffs
Resolution Criteria
This market will resolve to YES if:
Team 1690 (Orbit) qualifies for and competes in at least the semifinal round of the Einstein Field playoffs at the 2025 FIRST Championship.
This market will resolve to NO if:
Team 1690 does not qualify for the 2025 FIRST Championship
Team 1690 qualifies but does not win their division at the Championship
Team 1690 wins their division but is eliminated before reaching the semifinal round of Einstein
The market will resolve based on official results published by FIRST or reliable reporting of the competition outcomes.
I may bet on this market.
