Resolution criteria
Resolves YES if the first official teaser for a new mainline Lies of P sequel (not DLC/expansion) premieres during The Game Awards 2025 broadcast (main show or Opening Act pre-show) on Thursday, December 11, 2025. “Teaser” means an official video revealing and identifying the sequel (e.g., title card, logo, or explicit “sequel” language) from Neowiz/Round8 shown as part of the event. Verification will use the event VOD and official posts. If any official teaser is publicly released before Dec 11, 2025, or the TGA segment isn’t the first reveal, resolves NO. Leaks/rumors/interviews without an official teaser do not count.
Primary verification sources:
The Game Awards website and 2025 show VOD
Secondary confirmation (if needed): Official Neowiz/Round8 or Lies of P channels posted during/after the show, or major press recaps (e.g., IGN, Game Informer).
If The Game Awards 2025 date shifts, resolution uses the rescheduled official broadcast; if no broadcast occurs in 2025, resolves NO on Dec 31, 2025.
Background
The Game Awards 2025 is scheduled for December 11, 2025 (Peacock Theater, Los Angeles). (api.thegameawards.com, en.wikipedia.org)
A Lies of P sequel has been officially confirmed by the director (Nov 1, 2023), but no public teaser for the sequel has been released as of August 31, 2025. (gameinformer.com)
Neowiz released the prequel DLC “Overture” in June 2025 after a Summer Game Fest announcement; the director has said the DLC does not address the base game’s post‑credits “Dorothy” tease (i.e., it’s not the sequel). (pcgamer.com, polygon.com)
Considerations
Only a sequel counts. DLC/expansion trailers (e.g., Overture) are explicitly excluded. (polygon.com)
A spin‑off set in the Lies of P universe qualifies.
Teasers shown at other showcases (e.g., State of Play, Gamescom ONL) before Dec 11, 2025 would cause a NO resolution even if The Game Awards also shows a trailer later that night.
