The Tampa Mayor incorrectly announced that he was heading to a shelter, but Lieutenant Dan is still aboard his vessel, which has begun to drift from the pier in downtown Tampa."

By default I will wait a few days -- if the Tampa police (or related) do not make any statements about the arrest being related to him staying on the boat during Milton, then we will resolve it as an unrelated arrest.

@Moscow25 Agree with your assessment - thought it was a bit ambiguous (hence I bet up, but only a little). The arrest was for trespassing and failure to appear in court, not failure to evacuate. FWIW I ran it through GPT4o and it agreed.

OK -- so Lt Dan has been arrested.
The charges are for trespassing and not moving his boat which is not allowed to be parked in the Tampa harbor.
I wish I had made a market for whether Lt Dan will be arrest for anything -- would have been a good question.
However this was not the market.
AFAIK the charges are not related to his un-evacuation. Although we can wait for confirmation on that.
Anyone who disagrees -- would love to hear your opinion. The arrest does seem related to his boat and the whole situation. But there is nothing announced or reported about him being arrest for not leaving the boat during the hurricane.
