@MoMoadeli can you please clarify on whether this market resolves yes based on them moving to attempt to restore sam, or if they need to be successful for it to count?

@Joshua Hmmm, good question. I’m new to this. What are your thoughts?

@MoMoadeli I will say, I bet based on the precise phrasing of the question, which was "move to reinstate", not "reinstate" or "successfully move to reinstate"

@benshindel Ah. So you believe I should resolve this?

@MoMoadeli That's also how i read it, but no one was sure enough to bet without you responding. I think it should resolve yes

@MoMoadeli there's been a good amount of coverage at this point showing that Microsoft has indeed moved to remove the board and reinstate Altman. A video interview with Satya Nadella saying this more or less explicitly came out today, among other reporting. I think it should resolve YES.

@benshindel Huh. I’ve been following this in depth. Although I have no doubt MSFT would like to can the Board, I have not seen any hint of this in the chatter. I’ll resolve to yes. @Joshua

@MoMoadeli My understanding is that that they were openly backing Sam's bid on saturday/sunday, which called for the entire board to be removed and Sam and Greg to come back. That seems to also be the plan now with all the openAI employees threatening to resign, although Microsoft has said they'll work OpenAI even if Sam doesn't get back in.

@Joshua Roger. If I follow the question to the letter, however, MSFT was a passive agent in that regard especially since they absorbed sama (for now) and didn’t ACTIVELY act to remove the board (frankly not sure why although the rumor mill/swisher indicated Thrive and Sequoia weren’t so keen on dumping the board). I resolved to yes nonetheless since my q wasn’t sharp enough.

I just want to say, blind-sighted is a hilarious misspelling

@Shump Sigh. I’m not a poor speller but this got away. Thanks for the gentle nudge!

@benshindel Yeah seems like a move, and I think that should resolve this market whether successful or not.
