Resolution Criteria

The market resolves based on the divisional round games on Saturday, January 17 (Bills at Broncos at 4:30 p.m. ET, 49ers at Seahawks at 8 p.m. ET) and Sunday, January 18 (Texans at Patriots at 3 p.m. ET). The winning answer is whichever team takes the longest to score their first touchdown in their respective game. Time is measured from kickoff to the moment the touchdown is scored. If multiple teams tie for the longest time, the market resolves to the team that scored first among those tied. If a team fails to score a touchdown in their game, that team automatically wins the market.

Background

The wild card round delivered one of the wildest slates of games in playoff history, with four games decided by four points or fewer, the most in any playoff round ever. The top-seeded Broncos, coming off a bye, will be in action for the first time this postseason when they host the Bills on Saturday. The 49ers have been banged up all year with players combining to miss 263 games due to injury, and injuries continued to pile up during the wild card round with George Kittle tearing his Achilles.
