Resolution Criteria

The market resolves to the game with the lowest combined point total across all four Divisional Round matchups played on January 17-18. The four games are:

  • Saturday, 4:30 p.m. ET: No. 6 Bills at No. 1 Broncos

  • Saturday, 8 p.m. ET: No. 6 49ers at No. 1 Seahawks

  • Sunday, 3 p.m. ET: No. 5 Texans at No. 2 Patriots

  • Sunday, 6:30 p.m. ET: No. 5 Rams at No. 2 Bears

Resolution will be determined by official NFL scoring records. In case of a tie, the market resolves to all tied games.

Background

The Broncos boast one of the NFL's top defenses, allowing just 18.3 points per game during the regular season. Houston boasts one of the NFL's top defenses, while New England set the stage for what could be a defensive showdown after sacking Justin Herbert six times on Sunday night. These defensive strengths could contribute to lower-scoring contests.

Considerations

The 1970 divisional round battle between the Dallas Cowboys and Detroit Lions combined for only five points, making extremely low-scoring games rare in playoff football. Most modern divisional round games feature significantly higher scoring.
