On May 15th, it is planned that Mana purchasing rates change to circa 1$ = 1,000 Mana and that all the pre-pivot data about Mana is multiplied by 10, including profits on leaderboards.

My take is that as a result, rankings in Leagues will get almost frozen due to differences in previous earnings being multiplied by 10. Let's see what Manifold thinks about it.

If the new purchasing rates are postponed, the actual date when the now rates take effect will matter for this market. If it takes effect in-between two seasons or a the very begining / very end of a season, this market resolves N/A.

The top 10 here is the list of « right-after-pivot » that will be used for resolution, unless someone can provide a list that is posterior to the pivot but less time after it than mine.

@Bayesian

Oh

I thought this market was dead lol

So yeah @Ziddletwix that makes sense, actually I thought all Mana earned before the pivot would be multiplied by 10 on leaderboards and balances would stay unchanged, but it seems the exact opposite happened

I don't really know what this means, or who the users were that were in the top 10 right after the new mana rates took effect. Could you clarify the resolution criteria?

FWIW, my guess is that the 10x-ing probably won't impact leagues, although that isn't confirmed and we'll know soon enough. so this question might just become "how many in the top 10 drop out" (but maybe my guess is wrong)

@Ziddletwix You're right.
