In October, the US Supreme Court heard oral arguments in "Consumer Financial Protection Bureau v. Community Financial Services Association of America." A group of payday lenders (the Community Financial Services Association, CFSA) is suing the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) because it believes that Congress violated the Appropriations Clause of the Constitution when it gave the CFPB permanent funding.
This case will be decided some time this year. I will resolve each justice based on future reporting by Oyez: https://www.oyez.org/cases/2023/22-448
In cases where it is not clear how a justice voted (e.g. John Roberts joins a cult and moves off the grid before a vote is taken) I will resolve N/A for that justice.
