NO

Two weeks after the release of the last episode of the live-action remake of Avatar: The Last Airbender, I will look at season 1's rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The market resolves positively if the show is rated as fresh, and negatively if the show is rated as rotten.

It's currently one review away from fresh, so I believe the market is somewhat undervalued. Looking at another similar TV show (One Piece live action), I'd expect a smattering of reviews to come out in the next 2 weeks.

I plan to resolve this market as soon as I wake up on March 7.

@MaxMorehead you can set the close time to be at midnight on the 6th, or really whenever

how does the tomato rating of movies work?

@V4D0NTH8 it’s by critics who have given a review. Each critic gives a score which is above 59%, or at 59% or below.

These scores are aggregated, so if 99 people review a movie at fresh, and 1 person feels that it’s rotten, the movie will be 99% fresh. This can be true even if all 99 fresh reviewers only rated the movie at 60%. It’s an odd measure, but captures the sentiment of “do most critics like the film”

predicted YES

I'll be looking at the score for season one, if it's available and different from the one for the show.

@MaxMorehead 60% is just barely fresh right?

@V4D0NTH8 I believe that's correct.

@V4D0NTH8 this right

@MaxMorehead the show is a 59 now and the season is a 60. I just want to make sure you’ll still count this as fresh

@mattyb If the show page says rotten, and the season page says fresh, it will resolve fresh, because that's what I established in the original question text and my followup comment.

Basically, I'll look at this page:
