Resolves to the highest salary offer that I get within three months of completing full time business school. If I don't complete bschool at least three months before the resolution date, it will resolve N/A. If I take a job and then get a raise within three months, the post-raise amount will count toward resolution. Question is only about base comp, excludes bonuses and benefits. MBA, MSCM, MSF and similar degrees will count as business school; certification courses, coding bootcamps, and graduate schools in other fields like engineering or public policy will not count. Part time or online bschool will not count.

Resolves in nominal USD, not adjusted for inflation.

My main goal in business school would be to get a job with a higher salary, and preferably in a medium cost of living city such as Houston, Dallas, or Atlanta. If I don't believe that going to bschool will give me a good ROI, I probably won't do it.

My mini resume:

  • Dec 2024: operations supervisor, $85k base pay

  • April 2024: customer service supervisor, $84k base pay

  • Jan 2023: customer service representative, $55k base pay

  • 2020-2022: NEET

  • 2019: failed out of computer science graduate school due to mental health problems

  • 2017: bachelor's degree in economics with 3.2 GPA

  • SAT is 2210/2400 (tested in high school), IQ is 138 (tested in college)

I won't bet in this market.

Update. I took the official GMAT FE and scored 755! 😃

However, 1 month into my new 'operations supervisor' job, I feel that it's not giving me the type of experience that would make me a good MBA candidate.

I took a practice test for the GMAT FE. Score was 695.
