Will I figure out why my Ubuntu server can't get callback data from Telegram messages by end of month?

It would be great if I could run this bot on dedicated hardware instead of my phone or desktop. I have a server, but I just can't get my interactive bits to work there.
Help would be appreciated, but I'm not sure what info I can provide about the environment. It's somewhat nonstandard, as it's Ubuntu 20.04.04 LTS installed on ZFS root

I can send messages, iirc. It is just the callback data that is failing. No error is thrown, it just indefinitely sits there waiting for a response
