Why can't we place limit orders ? That would be great. Or stop losses.

@Gen It has been 6h since last update?

"Oracle update delayed

Trading and position closes are paused to prevent execution at an outdated price. The last update arrived 6 hours ago. They resume automatically after the next valid update."

@Duck sorry, fixed now!

@Gen Bruh, I was online when it BTC was 79K, I could have sold! But because the bug, I can't see the price, nor I can't sell T-T

@Duck Yes, apologies - it froze at 77,071.40 and reopened at 77,122.52 -- we hope this never happens but unfortunately I broke something and so nobody was able to act during that window.

The reopen is only a 0.07% change, funding was frozen, so you couldn't trade, but you couldn't be hurt. It goes both ways. The main winners are the ones who would have been liquididated, and weren't!

The last update arrived 3 hours ago. They resume automatically after the next valid update.

@Gen Could you add a profit calculator somewhere? You input a price and it tells you how much profit you would earn.

Can anyone donate me some Mana for emotional support? 😭

@Duck After a very long time waiting, I finally could sell and get profit back!

Now that I see it, it is weird. How does the unpopular side have no notional capacity?

@frankjiang people on that side have accumulated too much profit maybe?

@frankjiang yeah agreed that makes no sense to me. completely unintuitive after years trading on manifold's normal markets

This is a safeguard, because of a bug. We had a market actually jam and require margin be added instead of ADL'ing properly -- this is not how perps are supposed to work, and we should be able to fix it this week, such that positions can accumulate on both sides and if one side exits the other side will get deleveraged appropriately.

@Gen Any idea when this gets fixed? I keep getting {'message': 'This market can take on at most M$0.00 more long exposure right now, but this trade adds M$6900.00 (margin × leverage). Reduce your margin or leverage so their product fits, or wait for more short interest to raise the cap (long exposure is limited to 10× the unreserved short-side pool).'} errors on my bot and I'm losing a lot of mana lol

@Gen You're probably seeing that because you're already holding a position in one direction, which makes it look like there is liquidity, but by flipping you are removing the liquidity you would be trading against

Not sure tho, changes in progress

@Gen Can you add the break even value when opening and tracking a position?

@frankjiang This has recently changed, but the profit displayed is net of fees. I'm not sure the best way to do this yet, I'm kinda unhappy with it, and thinking maybe it should just open at a lower price (like a spread); bc it is weird to open a 2x leveraged position with M500 margin, close at M499, and then see -M2 profit. Treating the fee like a spread would instead show opened at 499 and closed 498, for example. Your breakeven would be clear, because it would show your open price net of fees (i.e. open at 5000, your shown open price is 5005).

Anyway idk I have other things that need to take priority for a bit, if you have more specific thoughts on how the UI would best work, lmk!

@Gen scrap perp and rework it (maybe allow market makers correct the price), focus on sports, sports drives major attention to the site.

@Mochi progress is being made on sports stuff behind the scenes - hopefully some new automarkets coming soon!

caught seconds before their demise. RIP my 2 biggest counterparties

@Stralor I didn't even know I got liquidated for the next 7 hours. 😭

Although 30-37 bps fee is tough rip
