Resolution criteria
This market resolves to YES if an official marathon race recognized by World Athletics is completed in under 1:58:00 (one hour, fifty-eight minutes) by any human athlete on or before July 13, 2028 (the scheduled opening date of the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles). Otherwise, it resolves to NO.
The official time must be ratified by World Athletics, as reported on their official website (https://www.worldathletics.org/). Ineligible performances, such as those achieved in exhibition events not meeting World Athletics record-eligibility criteria (e.g., pace-setting assistance prohibited in standard competition, non-standard course measurement, or non-record-eligible track surfaces), will not count toward a "YES" resolution.
