This market resolves to the acquirer on the announcement and if the deal fails due to regulatory worries, it doesn't matter. If by Dec 31st 2024 no one is buying ABC, this market resolve to Not being sold.

Big private equity are the largest alternative houses (Blackstone, Apollo, Carlyle, Brookfield, and KKR). If it's a syndicate, it resolves to who's leading.

Private individuals resolves to if a syndicate of individuals, lead by a U.S. citizen, are buying ABC.

Other media houses includes all media houses ex-NBCUniversal. It includes companies like Bloomberg, Liberty Media, New York Times, and of course, Sony, Warner Bros. Discovery, and Paramount.
