Definitions:

  • "Renaming" does NOT include pure translation. Kyiv to Kiev, Tbilisi to Tiflis, Almaty to Alma-Ata, Yerevan to Erivan etc would all be considered translations, not renamings.

  • "Major city" and "city" here mean a city with a current population over 1 million (see list below).

  • "Putingrad or similar" means any derivative of Vladimir Putin's name, including Putinskiy, Vladgrad, Vovaville etc.

  • "Annexed" means urban center is controlled by Russian forces, and official Russian maps include the city as integral to Russia.

  • This poll will close upon a renaming, or 1 Jan 2050, whichever is first.
