NO

This happened maybe 3 times last semester. I will defer judgement to whether the professor of the class says the TA can avoid the group with that student.

It's gross, but... yeah

How many students and TAs are there? What subject/age?

predictedNO

@placebo_username I think 200 students in 2 sections, discrete math, mostly sophomore computer science majors

predictedNO

@placebo_username About 10 TAs. I think it might be 8

A TA is only a couple of years older than the students, right? If so, why is it gross?

predictedNO

@stone Because we are in a situation where we are forced to interact with them, and even if it was wanted, we would be fired if we said yes

predictedYES

@LivInTheLookingGlass You'd really be fired?

predictedNO

@GeorgeVii today the professor literally said "please don't ask my TAs on dates. If they asked you, I would fire them. If you ask them... I shouldn't even have to say this, and yet it happens!"

predictedYES

@LivInTheLookingGlass ah, forbidden love... ;-)
