I’m voting no because faking a death in a situation that other commenters have already covered would be beyond sick. It’s taken nearly 40 years for the possibility of Andy Kaufman faking his death to be somewhat funny and interesting.

Given how abusive her parents (allegedly) are, I think something fishy is going on here. Lying and gaslighting are typical tools of abusers, so I wouldn't necessarily put it past them to lie about something like this. I feel like either she's not dead, or they had a hand in her death in some way or another.

90% seems awfully high given that many serious outlets are reporting the death uncritically.

Former manager can't confirm. "Claire’s former manager Henry Tsang said in a cryptic statement that he couldn’t confirm her or her brother’s deaths."
