YES

Resolves yes if I can reach my toes in a standing kness locked stretch by Feb 1st 2024. Otherwise it will resolve no.

Context:

  • I started training 2 days ago and have completed 2 sessions. My training regimen has a minimum of 3 sets of 30 second holds 3 times a week.

  • Currently I can reach 15cm from the ground. My toes are approximately 2cm thick around the tip so I expect the improvement required to be approximately 12-13cm.

  • I will not flex my toes in order to reach them easier.

I’m not betting, but wanted to offer some advice. Before stretching try sitting on the edge of a chair and lifting and holding one leg as high as you can while keeping your knee totally straight for 30 seconds. If you do that 3x for each leg before stretching your hamstrings you relax muscles in your hips and can stretch your hamstrings much better. Then when stretching hamstrings keep your back straight and bend forward at the hips, with your hands clasped behind your head. This should force your hamstrings to hold up some of your body weight while you stretch them. Don’t worry about straight knees, you can adjust them to focus on different parts of your hamstrings while stretching. I had the same problem and ended up with this routine after some research - it took about two weeks to go from unable to touch toes to flat palms on the ground.
