KRYPTOS is a four part secret message, of which three parts have been solved to this time. Just now the fourth plaintext has been discovered at the Smithsonian and will be up for auction. There is going to be much speculation as to it's contents, so let's get a head start on it.

It isn't clear that the buyer of the plaintext that has been found at the Smithsonian will reveal it. If they keep the secret, I will extend the closing time.

UPDATE, in light of the following link, I am extending the market by 51 years. Will of course resolve if the secret escapes.

  • Update 2025-10-18 (PST) (AI summary of creator comment): The market close date has been extended by 51 years from the original closing date, as the code solvers are keeping the secret and not revealing it publicly.

@JussiVilleHeiskanen there is time to argue but tend to interpret as future as viewed from moment of market creation.

@JussiVilleHeiskanen note, just for giggles I am not changing the wording of this, parse it as you like. We can decide when the secret is revealed. I am tending to interpret it as present being roughly creation time of market

@traders extending by 51 years as per edit to description

@traders corrected obvious typo of John for Jim in Sanborn's name
