Background
There has been a Triple Crown winner in 72 of the 129 competitions held from 1883 through to 2025. Ireland won the 2025 Triple Crown. Historically, Ireland has won seven Triple Crowns, Wales four, and England three since the physical trophy was introduced in 2006. Scotland has yet to win the Triple Crown in the Six Nations era, having last won the award in 1990.
Considerations
It is possible for one home nation to win the Triple Crown while another claims the Championship title. Ireland won the Triple Crown in 2025 but finished below France and England in the overall standings.
